Manual Cordless Models: After unboxing, fully lower the shade by hand to engage the clutch mechanism before mounting. When lifting, it will hold its position.

Motorized Models for Precision: The primary advantage of motorization is flawless stripe alignment. After installation, use the remote to run the shade through its full range, stopping at the fully open, fully closed, and mid-way points to ensure stripes align crisply.

Valance Attachment (If Applicable): For models with a decorative valance, the valance typically clips or snaps onto the front of the headrail after the shade is fully installed and tested.

For All Shades (First & Most Important Step):

Double-check your measurements! We recommend using a steel tape measure and measuring the exact window width and height in three places.

Power First: Decide your power source (plug-in transformer or rechargeable battery pack) and have it ready. Fully charge the battery before installation if applicable.

Test Before Mounting: Pair the motor with your remote and/or app, and perform a test run before securing it in the window. Verify it travels smoothly and responds to commands.
